No, it's not vanity, it a lack of memory.

I have decided to use my camera phone to keep track of what shirt:tie combination I wear from day to day. Just to make sure I don't wear the same thing in consecutive weeks. What a faux pas!

So I might as well share this database, as well as make it easy for me to find.

That's right, when you have no life, you blog your clothes.

Know it all

This is the coolest screensaver ever! It shows all flights in the Star Alliance airlines IN REAL TIME!!! All them little dots...

Teletubbies get a new job

Ever wonder what ever happened to the Teletubbies? They've been drafted! As seen here in this reconnaissance photo, we see the their heads have been transposed onto tanks in preparation for the next invasion. I guess 'don't ask, don't tell' isn't necessary with the purple teletubbie.

Christened

My friend got a pet turantula and I got to name it! I chose Sputnik! Isn't it a great name for a spider? Now I wish I had bought one. They were only $20. But the hassle of feeding it live crickets put me off.

Oh such a slow life! I haven't forgotten about the blog, just that so little has occured! I suppose this is working life? Ha! Haven't even seen a movie in two weeks! I did get a boxspring finally. I'll have to make a skirt for it or something so it's not so ugly. I hung up a autorad of a sequencing gel that has me, my supervisor and two other friend's DNA on it. I also got my bound theses back, and I convocate next month!

Yup, not having a life is sure a blog killer.

Almost home

Ah, nice to have yet another excuse to be lazy about the blog. This time: I just moved! And I didn't have internet setup till now. I felt so disconnected. I need my plug to the matrix. And it was even the weekend, so I couldn't even get my fix at work. Ahem, not that I use the internet at work for personal purposes. But even getting work e-mail gives me a hit of endorphins. I guess I was busy, moving boxes, unpacking boxes, stacking empty boxes into forts. Even saw a wide gamut of movies. But it's all done now! All moved in and my hole is all setup!

So much space, and it's all mine! Almost.

Movie review: Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit

It's *NOT* a kid's movie! This beauty is wasted on them ankle biters! They won't get all the nuances and the genius of Wallace & Gromit! (pout)

Man-o-man, is this an awesome movie! I just died laughing! And it even had a twist so not same-o same-o like kid's movies. After going to the moon, thwarting an evil penguin and washing windows, Wallace & Gromit goes big screen ten years after their last short. As protectors of the town's veggies before the biggest veggie festival of the year, they have to deal with a monster rabbit before it gobbles everything in sight, and before a jealous hunter (Ralph Fiennes) slays it with a golden bullet.

What can be better than watching W&G foil their foes with unnecessarily complex contraptions?

Movie review: Two for the Money

Wow, I can't remember the last time I cared less about what happened in a movie. Maybe it was predictable, maybe it was about football which I hate, or that I didn't relate to anybody in the movie. Hmmm... can't say much about it. Really boring, couldn't care less, yup, that's the synopsis.

Movie review: Serenity

I never really liked Firefly. It was just another in a slew of new sci-fi TV shows springing up at the time. This was supposed to be a wild west of space. Nothing really caught my interest from its contemporaries. Maybe I was too spoiled by the utopian predictions of ST:NG (points for the geeks who recognize that abbreviation).

But I quite liked the movie! Maybe it was being forced to sit through enough of it to get into it. I have a short attention span. It definitely has a small screen feel to it, since it's all unknown actors and it didn't get alot of advertising exposure. Probably aimed at the cult following the TV show had.

First day of work

Wow, I actually felt like I was working today! Doing something that mattered instead of just watching on the sidelines. Making calls, and contributing for once! Woo!

I apologize to my legions of fans for the lack of updates. But I'm busy moving and hopefully starting actual work. I promise pictures and such after I get unpacked!
