Look at this perfect specimen. I must take extra measures to keep it in its prime.

Apparently, one can keep flowers longer by removing the stamens. Maybe so it can devote less energy to reproduction. Or taking away some wilting signals? We'll see if it works. I've done it to two blooms and left the other alone. So we'll see how much youth this buys.
